Italian teen pop sensation I Ragazzi Italiani was formed after several local castings, making their live debut at UnoMattina, broadcast by RAIUNO, in February of 1995. Later, I Ragazzi Italiani, which means Italian boys, signed up to RaRo Records, a Polygram associate label, recording an EP called Scrivi Una Canzone. After participating in a national campaign for ANLAIDS, an Italian association to fight AIDS, the foursome signed up to PPM to make a self-titled debut album, released in 1996. The album was followed by Eravamo Cosi that same year. In 1997, the group debuted at San Remo's festival with a song called "Vero Amore," in addition, issuing E' Tempo. Two years later, the dance-pop act returned with 999 and Diario Di Bordo. ~ Drago Bonacich, Rovi
