The Very Best of the Royals and the Midnighters features a variety of the Midnighters' most well-known songs, including a few songs from the group's initial, short stint as the Royals. Featured performances include "Starting From Tonight," "Every Beat of My Heart," "Moonrise," and "Fifth Street Blues," in addition to 21 others. The majority of these songs are composed by Hank Ballard, the Midnighters' lead singer.
