On August 10, 11, 12 2012 the community of Melita Manitoba is inviting you to attend another a-peeling year of Banana Days!  We are hping for "Sunny& Breezy" weather, as our "Hot Spot" Banana Days weekend of events has many sun-filled activities awaiting attendance.  There are going to be many returning favourites this year such as the Mud Bog and the Saturday night street dance,  free banana splits, and slow-pitch tournament.  New activities include:  Free Zumba, Banana Baking Contest, Sponge Bob, Elmo, Dora the Explorer, giant bouncers, sumo wrestling, and also a Photo Booth, Artist Tent, MPI Mini car town, duck race and the new ULTIMATE BANANA BELT EXPERIENCE!

The Ultimate Banana Belt Experience, is an amazing action-packed race through Melita and area.  During the three da race, teams will discover breathtaking scenery, fascinating attractions, scenic prairies, unique "hot spots", and so much more while completing challenging tasks to gain points.  Teams will be trying to collect as many points as possible for a chance to win a $1000.00 grand prize.  All ages are welcome to join in on the race, however 16 & under must be accompanied by an adult.  Teams may consist of as many people as seatbelts are available in the team vehicle (one team vehicle per team).  When teams enter, they must bring a camera and a vehicle.  They may also want to make arrangements for accommodations (un-serviced camping available for $10/night @ River Park).  Swim wear, money for souvenirs, gas and "hot spot" fees (where applicable) are also recommended.
